Available Positions


  • We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Outdoor Camp Counselors to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children, interested in exploring new topics and skillsets, creating positive experiences, and building lasting relationships. The role involves working with youth ages 8-12 in a safe and fun outdoor setting, overseeing activities, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of campers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan, organize, and lead various outdoor activities for campers, including games, sports, skill development, crafts, hikes, and other recreational activities.

    • Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities, including near water and in the wilderness.

    • Foster a positive and inclusive camp culture by leading team-building activities and promoting cooperation and respect among campers as well as respect for nature.

    • Actively engage with campers by listening, supporting, and offering guidance and assistance when needed.

    • Collaborate with other camp counselors and staff to plan and implement daily schedules and ensure a smooth and fun camp experience.

    • Maintain a clean and safe environment in all camp areas, including trails, shelters, bathrooms, and common areas.

    • Report any incidents or concerns to the camp director promptly.

    • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

    Requirements:

    • At least 16 years old, with experience working with children in a camp or outdoor setting.

    • Bilingual, French and English

    • Passion for the outdoors and a desire to share that passion with children.

    • Ability to lead and supervise groups of children and manage behavior and discipline issues effectively.

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with children encourage learning and build positive relationships.

    • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and adapt to changing situations.

    • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and participate in physically demanding activities.

    • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification before camp begins).
