Floods, wildfires, extreme weather and other events are increasingly impacting Canadian communities. In order to adapt to this new reality, we need to change our culture of emergency preparedness, cultivate local citizen capacity, and enhance individual and community resilience. One way to achieve this is through a Civil Protection model which involves building response, recovery and preparedness capacity at the local level.
Civil Protection Youth Canada is a not-for-profit social enterprise committed to empowering youth with knowledge and hands' on skills in order to foster a generation of prepared and engaged citizens.
