Volunteering stimulates personal growth, fulfillment, and empowerment and is a great way to give back to your community. By volunteering with our Civil Protection Program, you will gain valuable skills and experiences and have the opportunity to make a real difference by helping us promote disasters readiness, resilience, and community building.

Volunteer service opportunities with CPYC:

The name of our Organization highlights our focus on youth leadership, and on making sure that the next generation is prepared for what is to come. As much a we focus on building community resilience THROUGH youth engagement, adults have a key role in being the capacity needed today. Volunteers of all ages are not only welcome in our team and program offer, but much needed.

Leadership Team Volunteer Opportunities

  • Facilitates and leads last Saturday/month training day. Engages with, recruits, on-boards and leads a team of committee members to support CPYC’s tasks related to the holistic community program, including the training program, train-the-trainer initiatives and revenue creating activities.

  • Leads CPYC community engagement efforts in close cooperation with the Head of Comms & Marketing. Welcomes and onboards new CPYC team members to ensure all are aware of CPYC’s mission and vision, find a suitable role within the Leadership Team that suits their interests and passion and supports with any HR related issues.

  • Engages with, recruits, on-boards and leads a team of committee members to support CPYC’s work related to the community resilience portfolio. This includes but is not limited to regular community focused discussion and engagement activities, formation of strategic connections and initiatives to enhance community resilience.

  • Oversees and leads management of CPYC HQ upkeep. Ensures that trails and activity areas are cleared, easily identified and accessible, helps to identify hazardous trees and other risks to participants. Recruits, onboards and leads a team of volunteers dedicated to the upkeep and maintenance of CPYC HQ.
