Civil Protection Youth Canada is a movement aimed at raising prepared and engaged citizens able to tackle the challenges posed by the changing hazard landscape and climate change. We are the voice of this next generation; showing what civil protection means, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose, and raising awareness of the need, benefits and opportunities to jointly protect ourselves and others.
We aim to connect youth across the country, as well as create a bridge to international civil protection youth groups, to exchange best practices and participate in exciting and enriching joint training events. Learn more about our partners below.
We all have a role to play in creating disaster resilient communities. Changing the culture of preparedness in Canada requires the understanding that empowerment and resilience go far beyond messaging. They are the result of growing up learning to trust in ones abilities, complemented with continuous training of special technical skills and expertise that allow efficient teamwork to safely intervene and minimize negative impact.
